About Us
Welcome to the Abbey Gate School, Chester.
Our school was founded in 1910, beginning its life in rooms belonging to Chester Cathedral. So began a link with the Cathedral that is still an important part of our life today. Throughout its history, the school has occupied several sites, finally moving to the present site in Hoole in 2006. Our present bulding is a spacious one in a pleasant residential suburb of Chester, light and airy and with a large play area bounded by grass and beautiful mature trees.
Abbey Gate school caters for children between the ages of 3 and 11 years. We have secured a reputation second to none for successfully developing pupils’ academic, creative and physical skills in a caring, safe and happy family atmosphere.
